Bizotel Bangkok

We’re here again as a family, this time for another six nights with my wife and our 2-year-old daughter. We stayed for six nights last year too, and the spacious rooms are still very comfortable. There’s both a shower and a bathtub, and connecting YouTube on the TV with a QR code from your phone is a handy touch. The staff are warm, polite, professional and attentive from arrival through departure. At breakfast they make you feel at ease, and the spread is so good that we look forward to it every night. The pool is lovely too, with sun in the morning and late afternoon, and the staff there are just as welcoming. During Songkran, fresh coconuts were available for 50 THB, just right for the heat. Even the fresh, soothing scent as you walk in makes the place feel relaxing and homey.

The buffet breakfast had a tasty range of international food, and the pool area is roomy with a bar. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view over the garden, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We arrived early in the morning and, after a short wait in the lobby, were taken to our room quickly. The BTS is a short walk away, which is always useful in Bangkok. The hotel is about 20 years old, but it was well designed and has been kept in good shape. We’d happily stay here again.

Breakfast had a huge selection, though the halal choices felt limited for Muslim travelers. I mostly found salads, eggs, bread, tea, coffee, and a few vegetarian options. More halal dishes would be welcome. The room was spotless, spacious and nicely designed, with a very comfortable bed where I slept well. The bathroom was roomy and well maintained. I loved the shower gel and shampoo, especially their lavender and peppermint scent, which I noticed throughout the hotel. I was also upgraded to a balcony room with outdoor seating, which made the stay even nicer. There’s a surprisingly lush green space right in the center, with tall trees that give the hotel a tropical, peaceful feel. At times it felt more like a beach resort than central Bangkok. The grand, roomy lobby makes a strong first impression, with magnificent tall wooden panels behind the check-in counters. My Eid holiday here was smooth and relaxing, and that made the stay extra special. I’d gladly return and recommend it for a proper five-star stay.

The pool and room were both great, and it was quiet enough to sleep well. The hotel sits between BTS Phaya Thai and Victory Monument stations, though Victory Monument is the better stop. Walk through two malls and you’ll find it right beside the King Power mall. One small annoyance, the nearest 7-11 is about a 10-minute walk, and the way feels quite dark at night.
