What I’ll remember most is the staff. Steve made check-in warm and easy, and Youi explained that guests could use the pool at Buddy Lodge, a five-minute walk away, along with its lounge. The lounge worked well for writing my book, with fast, reliable Wi-Fi. I also met housekeeping during my stay, and they were friendly and professional. Youi’s long time with the company gave me the impression that staff are treated well, and that care shows in the service. The room had a low-key modern look I really liked, with polished concrete floors and a spotless concrete bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the towels were good, and there were enough outlets and bedside lights. Wi-Fi was strong, and even though the hotel is next to Khao San Road, my room was surprisingly quiet. For the price, this is one of the best Bangkok hotels I’ve stayed in. My one small suggestion is to put in smart TVs for Netflix and YouTube. The stay was close to faultless, and Buddy Lodge will probably be my regular choice in Bangkok. Highly recommended.

Our two Standard rooms had no windows, but they were spacious and clean, and didn’t feel cramped as we’d expected. The hotel is close to Khaosan road, with everything nearby and a 7/11 right beside it. My room was tucked into a corner and very quiet. My friends’ room was in a different corner and got some outside music noise.

There’s good food and entertainment close by, and the location is great. The massage place downstairs is fantastic, and offers a 10% discount if you’re staying at Buddys.

The price was very good for a night, and the service was efficient. My small room was clean, with a good shower and air conditioning. It had no windows, which felt a bit claustrophobic at first, though the air con helped me get past that. Bars nearby made it a little loud at night, but the pillows were comfy and I slept really well. There’s access to a partnered hotel’s pool until checkout, too.

Bank at reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the showers were a highlight of the fantastic room. The hotel is just off Khao San Road, so it’s a great base for enjoying the road and Bangkok generally. I’d recommend it.
