Calmly Stay Ratchada

The room was quiet enough for a rest until a couple from PRC moved in next door. The walls are thin, so I could hear their conversations and even their loud snores at night. There were also lots of mosquitoes, around two to three a day for me, and ants kept turning up on the bed even after I swept the linen. I got bitten while sleeping. The toilet bowl and shower mat were stained, so the room they gave me wasn’t satisfactory. The location is convenient, near Phraram 9 MRT station and Central Rama 9 mall, with daily necessities and plenty of F&B options close by. It was a good, cheap location overall.

We spent just two hours there before moving to another hotel. My girlfriend booked it, and I told her this would be the last time she booked a place for us. It was surrounded by skyscrapers, only three floors high, and had the tiniest balcony I’ve ever seen. The room was small, with tiles painted over; the bed was okay. We’d hoped for a lovely first stay in Bangkok city and a night out, but ended up switching hotels. I guess you get what you pay for.

This is a small family-run hotel at the end of an alley. I was in Bangkok for surgery at Praram 9 hospital, and being close by was convenient. The neighborhood has plenty of shopping. It’s no Hilton, but the personal attention I got makes me want to come back. I’d like to visit again. Thanks, Calmly Stay Ratchada, for a wonderful experience.

Clean rooms, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The location worked especially well for my visit to VFS for visa purposes.
