Centaur Inn

The room smelled awful. When we asked if we could move rooms or do something about it, the owner just told us to open the window. Even at a low price, it wasn’t worth spending a night here. You can find something better in Bangkok for the same money.

We were “upgraded” from a thrown-together dorm room lined with security cameras to a superior room. Someone was always watching the cameras, which felt creepy. They say renovations are underway, but everything still looks thrown together. The mattress was poor, and the sheets, pillows, and blankets were shabby and worn. The bathroom was... well, look at it. There was only one water setting, and everything was rusty and full of ants. At least the room had AC. You get what you pay for, but if you spend much of your vacation in your room, this isn’t the place. We stayed out of the room as much as possible because of its condition.

The room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The sheets were dirty and it smelled like piss. The fan was loud, and on both nights someone tried to force my door open, even though it was locked. I’d booked four days but had to leave after two. Avoid at all cost.

Dirty rooms and a bed covered in yellow pee spots made us leave immediately. When we spoke to the unfriendly staff, they wouldn’t let us cancel the room. The Hostel was a total Desaster and ruined a whole day of our vacation. Agoda was kind enough to give us 10$ as an apology. Trust me, you’ll want to leave ASAP! The Four Sisters Homestay, just one ferry stop north, is a great, clean alternative.
