Century Park Hotel Bangkok

Chai helped us fit much more into each day than I would have managed on my own. He knows the area and the best places to visit, and was kind and friendly throughout. He really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The hotel was a lovely little find, and the service was fantastic.

A park just one block away was a great place to get away from the city, and there was good street food within a block too. I felt safe walking around the area. The hotel itself was clean and nice, with staff who were very attentive. I stayed four nights in total, three at the start of my trip and one at the end. Getting to the airport took about 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic. Very nice.

The location was convenient for places like Chatuchak, MBK, Pratunam Market and the temples. There are several 7/11 stores about 600m away, where the same drinks and alcohol from the minibar cost much less. The hotel taxi is expensive, so Grab or Bolt was faster and cheaper for me. I had a Superior Twin Room with a city view, a bathtub and a comfortable bed. The room was comfortable, but there were no basic toiletries and no water jet in the bathroom, just tissue paper. The TV had no working channels and wasn't a Smart TV, so there was no OTT access either. Complimentary tea and coffee were provided, but minibar prices were high, with another 5% VAT and 10% service charge added. The hotel is huge and has a pool, gym and conference hall. There's also a bar on the second floor with a pool table, but you have to buy something to play, even though the table is listed as an amenity. That felt misleading. Breakfast was okay, mostly Western options like bacon, sausages, eggs, pancakes and noodles. There weren't any Indian dishes, which could make the choices difficult for Indian travelers. The room was comfortable and the location was good, but the service felt weak, the basic toiletries were missing, and the entertainment options were poor. I expected better for the price.

Win and Thong, the two concierges, were helpful and professional all through our stay. They gave restaurant suggestions, directions and help with little requests, always with a smile, and I felt well looked after. At reception, Noi was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She was patient, cheerful, and made check-in a pleasure. These three employees made our stay feel perfect, and are a big reason guests leave happy and return.
