DO NOT USE THE WASHING OR DRYING SERVICE HERE UNTIL THEY REPLACE THE DRYERS. After hours in the machines, the clothes were still as wet as when they went in. Three shirts, two shorts, and underwear couldn’t be dried. DO NOT USE!!! #SCAM. While I was waiting, rats were going in and out of the hotel, and they looked extremely sick. Only come here if you want a #SCAM laundry service and a rat-infested hotel.

I first found this hotel on booking and had a fantastic stay. The rooms and hallway have a vintage darkwood timber look, and the mattress gave me the best sleep. There’s a spot downstairs by the entrance to sit and socialize, and I could chat with people when I felt like it. A market is right beside it for picking up food. It was peaceful too, with no traffic or loud noise. I’ll come back.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, which is what the one star is for. The apartment itself is really old, with 80s-style decor, a smell in the room, and odd furnishings that made it feel haunted. Noise insulation is poor, and there are many better choices for this price. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends. I was fooled by the posts below. They’re probably paid comments.

A lovely family is always smiling and helpful, and staying here felt like finding an oasis in the big city. This small family-run hotel and homestay is right in the heart of Silom, seconds from one of our favourite hidden Bangkok street markets. They’ve just installed brand new coin-operated washer and dryer units, so laundry costs pennies and saves a trip to a local laundry. Reception has free coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer in the morning, as well as a toaster. The room has a large fridge and TV, and the air con is great. The WiFi drops out, though, and the shower pressure is terrible.
