We arrived to check in after 2 a.m., and the staff were still pleasant and conscientious despite the late hour. They were friendly and went out of their way to help, especially for a three-star hotel. The room was reasonably clean, though we spotted a few ants on the nightstand. They were gone after a couple of nights. Food choices were limited, but the selection was good for a hotel of this size. It was a good stay, and I’d come back.

Please fix the unsafe railing on the stairs. My daughter could fall through it, as shown in the photo. The rooms are noisy, and the pool sits behind the parking area, which doesn’t feel like a safe setting for kids. The hotel itself is pleasant but basic, with friendly people and good food.

The pool was nice and deep, and there was a beer garden outside the main hotel where we could unwind. We stayed as part of a tour, and the rooms looked pretty good for the tour’s price range. The hotel is in old Bangkok, within walking distance of markets and nightlife. Getting a cab across town to see friends took just over an hour in rush hour. The lift beside the entrance smelled strongly of bleach, so I stuck to the stairs, which was a challenge in heels sometimes :D

We didn’t even stay the second night. After arriving, the lack of upkeep was obvious, and the location felt remote. The room was spacious, but the bed squeaked and two nails stuck out of a chair, nearly hurting me. The air conditioning didn’t work at first. After an engineer worked on it, it blasted cold air and couldn’t be turned down, so I asked for two blankets to avoid catching a cold. The shower was only lukewarm, and with the room feeling cold I was shivering and sneezing. My wife didn’t dare shower. At 9 p.m. our taxi driver called the hotel for directions and got no answer; nobody was at reception until after 10. Some hotel service. We moved the next day to a boutique hotel in the Siam area, where the room was much better and 400 THB per night cheaper. Good luck.
