Grand Alpine Hotel

Being right in the Pratunam area puts the hotel close to the shopping district, restaurants, massage spas, malls, groceries, and more. There are two elevators, which made getting between floors easy. My superior king room was clean and spacious enough to move around in, though there wasn't much room for luggage. It had the basics: a private T&B, ACU, mini-refrigerator, TV, and clothes rack. Breakfast was a letdown, with limited choices that weren't very appetizing.

The night market, street food stalls, and plenty of spas are right nearby, so the location was perfect for an easy trip. The rooms were clean and very good, with a safe box, and the staff were friendly and provided good service. A great place to stay.

We've come back many times and have always had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent, convenient for tourist spots and other places to visit. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly each time. The recent renovation looks great, the lobby is spacious, and the store room is handy for guests. The water heater still needs work. It takes a long time for the water to heat up, and getting the temperature right is difficult. Even after fiddling with it, the water can suddenly go too hot or too cold mid-shower. This has happened over several stays and is frustrating. Apart from that, everything has been very good, and we still enjoy staying here regularly.

At 1,400 THB a night, the Grand Alpine Hotel is good value if your priority is a central location. It was easy to explore the city and reach local transport from this convenient area. Sharing a room came with a key card hassle: two people were registered, but we got only one card. The hotel asked for a refundable 300 Baht deposit for a second one. The rooms also aren't soundproof, so hallway and neighbor noise carries through. Light sleepers may want earplugs or another hotel. Breakfast was disappointing, with very few options. It might do for a quick bite, but don't expect a full buffet. A budget stay in the middle of the action can suit deep sleepers, though anyone wanting quiet and a hearty breakfast might prefer another option.
