DMK Place

The lack of ventilation made the place smell awful, and getting the deposit back seems to be a problem if you check out early, since staff can be hard to reach. There were often no employees around, which made things inconvenient. I also tried to sleep for a few hours in the morning and was refused, though I understand the check-in cutoff before 11pm. I've stayed in bad hostels in around 60 countries, and this was the worst. Other reviews made it sound like a cheap Russian-run accommodation. The owner's unkindness goes beyond what the low price can excuse. Places like this shouldn't be around.

There's plenty of storage, and the beds feel cozy with their own blinds and curtains. Getting up to the upper deck is easier than climbing the usual bunk bed ladder. A coin-operated washer and dryer sit by the entrance, and you can air-dry clothes on the second floor. It's a hidden gem near Don Mueng airport. A communal fridge and microwave for simple meal prep would make it better.

I accidentally booked this hostel by the wrong airport, but mistakes happen, and I still slept well. I was there on 25th of December 2025. The place was quiet and convenient for me, with everything I needed. It was very clean, and the bathroom was clean and modern too. Really great experience.

The best part for me was the wonton noodle cart parked right outside. It served a very good bowl loaded with char siew, roast pork, wontons, and greens. There's also a 711 about 100m away. My flight landed too late to check into my GH elsewhere, so it was this place near the airport or sleeping on the terminal floor. DMK gets four stars for location in that situation. I was glad I took a taxi late at night. Taking the red line metro and then walking here with a backpack and trolley bag would have been a push, especially after dark. A dorm bunk was 450B, which is damn expensive for Thailand. Service was limited to check-in, though the welcome was warm. The room and facilities were very clean, and the bunk had privacy curtains, charging points, a reading light, and a towel. There was ample storage too.
