Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai

The breakfast buffet was a highlight for us, with a great range and quality of food. We especially liked the fresh fruit, banana bread, croffles, soy milk, and patongo. We were happy with the service, rooms, facilities, and location, too. Eastin Grand is very convenient for short trips and for traveling to and from the international airport by APL. A sheltered link bridge connects the hotel building to the BTS, which is handy with luggage and when it’s raining. The hotel feels grand, clean, and very new. Our room on 27/F had a wide, open view, and the basic amenities were all included and good quality. We wished there were a coffee machine in the room, but Factory Coffee is nearby, so getting good coffee in the morning wasn’t a problem. Reception made both check-in and check-out smooth and comfortable. Nora and the girl who helped us check in were very nice. Thank you very much.

For my first visit to Bangkok, the BTS connection made this hotel especially convenient. Everyone on staff was kind, helpful, and professional, and our room was cleaned promptly each day. We loved the broad selection of food and drinks, and the breakfast, pool, executive lounge, and complimentary laundry were all fantastic. I’d definitely stay again next time we’re in Bangkok.

I’m vegan, so I would have liked more choices on the buffet and dining menus. Once I asked, though, the staff and chefs prepared special meals for me, and I felt very well looked after. We also had a late international flight and were allowed to use the facilities and pool until the evening after checking out. We had an amazing stay at Eastin Grand. They let us check in early, and our room was spacious, clean, modern, and luxurious. The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, with daily attendance. Even the little touches were lovely, like night slippers and chocolate left in our room while we were at dinner. We enjoyed the pools, restaurants, and buffet, and found the service and facilities faultless. I look forward to returning.

The executive lounge access cost a bit extra, but I thought it was worth it for a stay of just a few days. When we arrived, we were taken upstairs, given a cooling drink and face towel, and checked in by the staff. We could also come by for snacks and drinks at any hour, which was useful when jet lag had us waking at odd times. Shin was especially helpful, settling us in and explaining Thai phrases so we could be respectful. They printed some documents for us, which took away some stress, and let us check out late so we could relax longer before our next flight. The hotel is easy to reach from the main Bangkok airport. Take the air conditioned metro train to the last stop, then follow the hotel signs, a welcome bit of simplicity after a long flight. The hotel itself is spectacular. The two rooftop pools have different atmospheres and both offer great city views. Our room was clean and spacious, and the hotel took good care of our needs. We didn’t have time to explore food outside the hotel, but I’d recommend doing that while you’re in Thailand. I’d stay here again.
