Film and Beam in the restaurant were warm, attentive, and exceptionally polite. Their professionalism stood out and deserves recognition. The rest of the service, especially at the front desk, was disappointing and lacked basic hospitality. We had three rooms, 402, 412, and 414. We checked out of 412 and 414 on time, and asked to keep 402 until 2:30 PM. One person in our group, a 70-year-old lady, had developed a fever the previous night and couldn’t sleep properly. We were leaving for the airport shortly, and only needed that one room for a little longer. Normally we wouldn’t ask for an extension, and we understand the hotel’s late-checkout policy. The problem wasn’t the refusal, but how it was handled. The request was turned down abruptly, without courtesy or empathy. Kim at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. Even if the hotel couldn’t agree, a considerate response would have made a real difference. We also used the pool. Staff had told us the jacuzzi would start automatically when we got in, but it never did. We brought it up, and no one helped or followed up. The service felt inconsistent and unwelcoming, leaving us uncomfortable. We stayed at FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit for three nights and are checking out today. Aside from the restaurant staff, the experience was not satisfactory. Courtesy, professionalism, and empathy should be basic parts of hospitality, especially when an elderly guest is unwell. This feedback is about how guests are treated, as much as hotel policy. It was not a pleasant stay, and we hope management reviews these concerns.

The hotel is clean, and they can clean your room daily if you want. The staff are friendly and helpful, so you shouldn’t run into problems during your stay. Breakfast is pretty normal, though another toaster would help, there’s a line. A big thank you to Kik, who helped me from our first day to the last. She even managed to chat with me despite my broken English. I hope she gets to better places.

The one thing going for the hotel is its location. For the price, I don’t think it’s worth it, and we even decided to skip breakfast. We booked a room with a balcony, but it was locked without any explanation, despite our being on the fifth floor. We couldn’t use it or open the windows, so there was no natural ventilation unless we relied on the air conditioning. That was a major drawback, especially since the room was advertised with a balcony. Most staff were polite and professional. One receptionist, though, reacted inappropriately when we asked her to tell management that not being able to use the balcony was a major downside and that we were disappointed. She had an emotional outburst instead of responding professionally, which affected our impression of the service. The room wasn’t clean enough, there was only one set of basic toiletries for two guests, and the hair dryer didn’t work. The corridors smelled unpleasant too. There’s also a complete smoking ban, even in the area outside the hotel, which limits guest comfort. This review is to let future guests know what we experienced.

The rooms are decent, and for that price in this area, it’s hard to beat. You’re close to everything, while the street is much quieter than Soi 11 and other streets on sukhumvit. I recommend it.
