Gaam Hotel's location was one of the main reasons I finally booked a stay after wanting to try it on earlier Bangkok trips. Check-in was easy, and the front-desk staff were friendly and polite. I spent one night in the Aurora King Room and found it cozy, with strong Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The room does show considerable wear and could use some refurbishment. There are also several convenience stores within the property. They take a 500baht deposit.

The hotel is in a handy spot near Platinum Mall and the BTS, and I’d stay here again if I’m back in Bangkok. It’s a new, stylish budget boutique place, with clean rooms, decent soundproofing, and two bottles of water supplied daily. Check-in was easy, and they welcomed us with a drink. The staff were friendly, helpful, spoke English, and even showed us around the hotel and room. You can leave your luggage there too. The only tricky bit was the water heater, which took a little trial and error to get the temperature right.

The room is really tiny, which was kind of funny, but it suited us since we’re small too. It felt comfortable and homey, with a clean bed and bathroom, and we were very happy sleeping there. The service was friendly, and it’s very close to Platinum and Pratunam. I’d recommend it.

There’s a great coffee stall just outside, and a cart across the way with good rice and pork. The night market is only a minute’s walk, and there are shops and food carts all around. We had the Aurora twin room, which was clean, with enough room to move around, comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They offer an airport transfer for 400 THB, though I’m not sure whether that includes pickup from the airport.

The room was small but very clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and spoke very good English. For travelers, the built-in power setup is handy: two universal outlets and two USB charging ports by the bed. Just note that the power is 220V only.
