H-District Boutique Poshotel

I liked how peaceful it was despite being in a central area near Benchakitti Park and Nana, and the price was really affordable. I stayed a couple of days and found it great value. The pool is small but clean, nice for relaxing in the heat with a Singha. Staff were chill, the place was very clean, and the showers and restroom worked fine. The capsule had AC that made it easy to sleep, a TV with lots of international channels, and a curtain you could lock for privacy. They also provided a towel and slippers. A few things could be better: the shower shampoo and soap should be changed, and the mattress felt a little hard. The 1,000 baht deposit seems like too much, especially for dorm guests, though I got it back without any trouble. Some people complain about all the rules and warnings. I can imagine they may have broken a rule and then said they didn’t know about it. None of the rules seemed exaggerated to me.

The capsules are better than others I’ve tried, and the place is really clean and comfortable. The staff are very cooperative. I’d highly recommend it.

The terrace sit-out was really cool, and the property is in a quiet area with easy access around the city. I stayed for a day. It’s Indian-owned, the rooms were quite clean and had the necessary amenities, and check-in was quick. The staff were helpful.

The location is great, and the capsules are nice, with a bit of privacy. The shared bathroom was clean. There’s a rooftop you can use until 12 p.m. and smoke on, though smoking by the pool isn’t allowed. The pool itself didn’t look clean. My welcome was poor. I arrived at 13:30, and the receptionist sent me away until check-in time, then spent that time on his phone. When I came back, nobody was at reception, so I waited another 30 minutes. The receptionist was very impolite. Check-in takes ages even if you’re on time, and checkout needs at least 20 minutes. Staff sleep on the lobby sofa. There are rule notices everywhere, including one saying you can’t cough in bed, and fines for everything. It made me feel a bit like I was back in the army. They say outside food isn’t allowed, but the staff order through Grab, so I wondered if I’d be fined for doing the same. You have to wear the house slippers they provide, and who knows if they’re cleaned every time. Losing them costs 150 THB, and the hotel takes a 1,000 THB deposit. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you get a really good deal.
