The reception staff were lovely to talk to, and the beds were roomy. But they were painfully hard, and the traffic noise at night was unbearable. Even in the slow season, passing vehicles sounded like they were right in the room. The bathrooms were tiny, too. The shower sprayed toward the toilet, leaving the seat soaked every time, and drying it meant using toilet paper, assuming any was available and dry.

I paid for 17 nights upfront as a walk-in, and the receptionist was polite. When our plans changed, I asked well before leaving if some nights could be refunded. Management refused, citing a no-refund policy that wasn't posted anywhere and that we hadn't signed. Booking sites also listed a refund or early-departure refund, often with a penalty, which I was willing to pay. They wouldn't budge at all, and I left with a very sour feeling after dealing with management, even though the receptionist was sweet and nice. The hostel is beside a busy road, and because the windows and doors don't seal, motorcycles, buses, and horns carry on all night. The beds are hard. For the same price, there are three other hostels one block away.

The dorm beds are spacious, and the place is clean. Staff are friendly and attentive. My only missing convenience was a laundry service.
