Khemmanatt Boutique Hotel

For two weeks my wife and I stayed here, and it was the worst hotel experience we’ve had anywhere. We’ve visited Thailand many times and found hotels warm, welcoming, and good value. This place felt like the opposite. We plan to post photos of the wiring, repairs, signs, bed, and building. The lifts were out for our entire stay, even though we were on the top floor. There was no explanation, apology, or courtesy, and we climbed the stairs every day. At checkout we had to carry 50 kg of luggage down ourselves. The shared lobby toilets were marked out of order for guests, yet we repeatedly saw staff using them. The room felt unsafe and badly maintained. The supposed king bed was two divan bases bolted together with one mattress on top, and the whole thing slid across the floor whenever either of us moved. The shower pressure was unusable. Loose electrical wires hung out in the open. When we complained, the receptionist came upstairs with string and tape, tied the wires together, and left as if the hazard were fixed. Water was trapped under the flooring, making a loud squelch with each step. Service was hostile from the start. After a 16.5-hour flight, we got no greeting or smile from the woman at reception, just an attitude that made us feel unwelcome. She demanded 500 baht for early check-in before telling us the room wasn’t ready, then asked for a 1,000 baht cash key deposit when we’d just got off the plane. When I asked for the manager, she smirked and said, “You’re speaking to her.” If that’s really the manager, the hotel’s standards are finished. The whole building looks neglected and mismanaged. Lift signs looked like a child had made them, wiring hazards were ignored, customer service was rude, maintenance seemed nonexistent, and cleanliness was debatable. This is no “Heritage” of anything, just neglect. I’d call the hotel unsafe, dishonest, badly managed, hostile to guests, and falling apart, an embarrassment to Bangkok hospitality. Save your stress and money, and stay somewhere else.

The area is peaceful, and the room has a lot of space, even if the decor feels a bit old. The customer service was friendly.
