Lantana Resort Hotel Bangkok

I’m making a serious complaint about Lantana Resort Hotel Bangkok. Today, someone I’d booked for a massage through an outside app arrived at my room, but the person who showed up didn’t match the photo. As soon as I opened the door, they pushed their way inside and insisted they were the same person. They wouldn’t leave, demanded taxi money despite providing no service, and shouted at me for refusing to pay. I thought the person might be a ladyboy, but my concern was that the identity didn’t match the app photo and they had entered my room without permission. I called reception, where two staff members were sitting, but the receptionist refused to help. They wouldn’t let me speak with a manager, and when I asked them to call the police, they said it wasn’t their problem. No one came up to check what was happening. I was worried the person might rob or hurt me, so I had to call a friend for help instead. I’d paid for a room and expected help when I felt unsafe. The staff didn’t assist me at all. I won’t stay at this unsafe hotel again.

I’ve stayed at more than eight hotels in Thailand on this holiday, and while this isn’t my favorite, I think it’s a good, affordable choice in BKK if you need to get to the airport on time and want standard quality. The room and service were very good, and I appreciated the welcome drink. There’s also a good Isan food restaurant nearby to check out. I don’t understand all the negative comments.

The air conditioning took a while to cool the room down, and it was sauna-hot when I arrived. I did turn it down. I only stayed one night, 8/10 7/11 next door made it easy to get food, and they have good coffee ☕.

We planned a short visit but liked Lantana Hotel Bangkok enough to extend our stay. The rooms were clean, roomy, and well kept, and we especially enjoyed the city view from our room. Staff were welcoming and really nice. It’s handy for getting around too, with the metro nearby and a 7-Eleven right next door. We loved staying here in Bangkok.
