Loft Bangkok Hotel

The checkout mix-up was the worst part. On my second day, the front desk offered a free upgrade and added a 2 p.m. checkout to my card instead of noon. I checked that I could leave at 2 and was told yes. On the last day, they called at noon to say I was late, then insisted late checkout wasn't possible and told me to come down within 15 minutes. Nobody apologized when I went to the desk. They shouldn't offer an upgrade with a promise they won't honor. The hotel is quite far from Sukhumvit Road. The shuttle only goes to the main road, leaving another 15-minute walk to the larger road. There are plenty of Indian restaurants around, as well as enough Thai places within walking distance. A wash-and-dry shop is two minutes away, though it's odd that the hotel doesn't offer laundry service. For about the same price, you can stay nearer the main road and other tourist spots, so I don't think this place is worth it.

We loved how lively and noisy the area felt. The rooms were gorgeous, with a modern, luxurious look, and every staff member was well-mannered and provided great service. I'd recommend it!

The hotel's security made me feel safe: visitors can't just walk in, and the property is covered by CCTV. It's peaceful overall, although voices from neighboring rooms carry through the walls. The staff were kind and very helpful, and there's a free shuttle to the main road at any hour. The location is convenient for Big C, CentralWorld, Platinum, and tofu skincare, with a 7/11 just a two-minute walk away. Our room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The one issue was the shower: water ran out from around the bathtub, sometimes reaching the door and even the room. I'd definitely stay here again.

The reception staff were especially helpful and found me an affordable ride to Bangkok Airport. Everyone was friendly and hospitable, too. I found the room clean and nicely done, and it had a smart TV, something I hadn't seen at most of the places I stayed in Thailand. It was a cozy, comfortable stay, and I'd happily recommend it.
