Minimis Hostel

The hostel's raw industrial look and concept really appealed to me, and I wanted to love it. But it's poorly maintained, and the design often put appearance ahead of practical use. I could only see myself staying once. The room setup was frustrating. Our bathroom was roomy, but had nowhere to put toiletries, not even a small shelf or flat surface. The toilet seat was slanted, too. The sink could have fit inside the bathroom, but it was placed right beside the bed. Since the basin was shallow, water splashed everywhere, including onto the bed. We arrived at 1 pm and were told the rooms would be ready at 3. That seemed fair, but when we returned at 3, the time had moved to 4. Once we finally got into the rooms, there were no sheets or pillowcases. Our key card stopped working on the first night, so eventually we had to move to another room. Packing and unpacking all over again was no fun. The lobby was also one of the stuffiest I've been in, because the staff were reluctant to turn on the AC.
