Never again. The room didn’t match the description, and the kitchen was outdated. The stove was dirty and rusty, and the floor and furniture were all sticky. The pool was closed because it was under construction.

We did enjoy visiting Bangkok and Pattaya, both with nice tourist attractions. Bangkok has temples and palaces, and two days seemed enough, including an evening walk on Nana Sukhumvit street soi 3 if you want a glimpse of the nightlife. In Pattaya, you can visit Coral Island and Walking Street for nightlife. One day, or at most a day and a half with time to relax, is enough for that. If you also want the Sanctuary of Truth and the Floating market, plan a two-day Pattaya trip with some time to rest. I wouldn’t go to Ripleys museum, it’s a waste of money. Alcazar show and Tiffany show are well-known ladyboy shows that start at 6 p.m. We found the hotel staff to be the only friendly, courteous, and helpful Thai people we met from the airport through the end of the trip. We found others impolite and rude, seemingly disrespectful toward tourists. Even when we asked something, some wouldn’t respond or would shout unnecessarily. We rarely saw a smile, and that was a real culture shock for us. English was a major barrier, too. Many people couldn’t speak or understand it, or seemed to pretend not to understand to avoid answering. We needed Google Translate all the time, and the Grab Cab app was quite helpful for local travel. Finding good food was a big problem, especially as we’re from India. Look for Indian restaurants, bring ready-to-eat food in advance, or have fruit. We avoided non-vegetarian meals at non-Indian restaurants because we weren’t sure what would be served. We came across many scammers, especially at tour operators, hotels, and restaurants. Don’t be surprised if you don’t get what was promised before booking, it seemed common there. Be cautious when booking and check reviews. When we tried to leave honest feedback about bad hotel or food quality, Thai staff or owners might threaten to call the police, so be prepared for that.

Such good value, with a big room near the nightlife street. The staff gave great service, and I really enjoyed staying here. I’d definitely come back.

The interior felt a bit worn. In our room, the bathroom faucet and air conditioner both needed repairs. Also, almost all the male guests bring women from the streets back to their rooms.
