The main road was noisy, and the locker in my room was a pain. I couldn’t get its complicated PIN setup to work, even after following the instructions several times. It beeped whenever someone set a code, opened it, or used it, and that sound was annoying. The windows didn’t block the traffic, which was loud even around 11-12 pm. It sounded like the cars, bikes, and tuk tuks were heading to Mars. Towels also cost 30 thb. That night, I tried the locker again until the electric lock beeped for about 30 seconds. The staff downstairs repeated the same instructions, but it still didn’t work when I tried once more, so I gave up. When I went to shower, there was no towel in the room or by the bed. I went downstairs again and was told it cost 30 thb, cash only. I had no cash, so I used my dirty towel instead. I usually sleep early, and the road was still too loud for me, though to be fair it got quieter later. Then around 1 am, someone else tried setting their locker PIN and woke me with the same beeping. I understood the problem and waited, but they kept at it. It wasn’t their fault, it was the HOSTEL FAULT!! Someone, maybe a staff member, eventually helped them, turned on the light, and spent a while talking. I finally told them, MATE it’s too annoyinggg. They stopped, apologized, and said goodnight, maybe to me 🤭 Apart from the things I mentioned, everything was good.

Poshtel 56 Hostel felt comfortable and homey, with free water, kitchen facilities, and a pleasant atmosphere. It’s in a convenient spot, with transport nearby and some nice places to eat around. The place was clean and modern, the rooms were well maintained, and the beds were cozy. Everything looked like the pictures, and the friendly, helpful staff made things easy. Great value for money, and I had a really nice stay.

I spent 12 nights in a mixed room. The hostel has good Wi-Fi, a common area where you can work, a kitchen, and a rooftop. There’s a 7-11 right downstairs, plus separate men’s and women’s toilets and a laundry service. Towels cost an extra 30 baht, though I don’t remember the exact amount. Changing rooms or beds costs another 50 baht.

The dorm was noisy from the road, and the other guests ignored quiet hours all night. I also had people keep leaving the women’s room door open after they went out, even though everyone’s belongings were inside. The toilet and shower seemed clean, but they were outside the room and smelled horrible. I’d booked a bottom bunk, but was given an upper one 🥲. I paid for a night without getting proper sleep, how nice is that.
