The bed was very hard, and everything felt old, from the building to the room and bathroom. The hair dryer was broken and phone reception was poor. Airport transportation is included in the room price, as it is at most hotels in this area.

This may be my third stay here. The room was cleaner than last time and very big for the price. It’s a great place to stay while staging airline travel.

I booked through TRIP.com for 660 baht and got a quiet, clean room with plenty of space. I also liked that the water came in glass bottles instead of plastic. After years of staying at Crystal suites and other nearby hotels, Regent Hotel is now my first choice near the airport. On my second stay, I booked a room with an airport shuttle through Booking.com, but only the room was provided. Agoda was offering it as a third party on Booking.com, which was misleading. Sorting it out meant a lot of emails and time at the hotel counter. In the end, Booking.com was responsible.

The building is older, which would have been fine, but the cockroaches and poor hygiene put me off. It looked badly maintained, and I didn't feel comfortable even leaving my luggage on the floor. I left after just a few minutes. Pay extra for somewhere cleaner. This definitely wasn't a three-star hotel.

The rooms were big and clean, and the location was handy, not far from two shopping centers with lots of food options. A taxi to the airport was easy to get and cost about 100 baht. It's an older hotel, so you can see the wear and tear, and I think most rooms are rented long term, with just a couple of floors for nightly stays. I was there one night and got a very good price, which made it worthwhile. Would I return? Maybe, if it were under 600.
