The breakfast was great and the reception ladies were friendly, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. We got a deal on booking com, and at full price we’d have been so disappointed. Our basic room was booked as superior, or something like that, and was supposed to have a balcony and garden view. The balcony was tiny and had no chairs. Smoking wasn’t allowed on the property or even on that balcony. You have to go to reception to ask for fresh bedding, towels, or toilet paper. The pool was no use to us, with maybe six loungers that people occupied all day by leaving their towels on them. It’s the first hotel where I’ve never used the pool. We booked this specifically for the pool and couldn’t even use it. You can get much nicer accommodation for the price, with what you need.

The location is fairly good, the breakfast was okay, and the room was small but acceptable. But the reception was a nightmare. We told the woman about noisy, aggressive guests and got no response. Our request to move to a room farther away was ignored. They woke us in the middle of the night, and we couldn’t sleep until morning because of partying in the room and verbal harassment. There were slamming doors and things breaking, probably causing damage to the room. I don’t understand why the hotel did nothing. Never again.

The location is excellent, and the restaurant and pool area are good. Still, the loungers and tables are old and there aren’t enough of them. The air conditioner is noisy, and maintenance and cleanliness in the corridors and public spaces are poor. The room itself wasn’t really clean enough either.

The staff are wonderful and speak English well, and the pool area is a highlight. The food is nice and reasonably priced. Rooms are basic, but extremely clean and comfortable. You’re close to bars, clubs, and markets without the area feeling too busy or noisy. If you just need somewhere to sleep after a big day of exploring, it’s perfect.

The biggest thing to know is where it is: Khao San Road gets loud and crowded. The hotel itself is nice and the service was good, though I wouldn't recommend the breakfast, and the place could be cleaner. The balconies and the laundry, food, and drinks service are handy extras.
