Siam Best Hotel

The staff were friendly, and with some luck you might spot the owner’s cute dog. It’s a good value budget hotel close to key tourist spots, with plenty of massage parlours within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were alright. There are vents bringing in air from outside, though, and nearby restaurants mean the room constantly smells of food. It can get frustrating when the smell is pungent. The toilet looked clean but had a bad stench.

The room was relaxing, and the bathroom was clean, which I always look for when booking a vacation room. They cleaned our room even when we forgot to tell them, and nothing went missing when we left our belongings there. The staff seemed trustworthy. There’s a bar downstairs that may bother some people, but I didn't find it particularly loud from inside the room. We struggled to find the hotel because the map hadn't caught up with changes in the area. From Phetchaburi, walk down 15th Street until you reach Yangon Bar Restaurant. Take the narrow street there, continue along it, and the hotel will be on the left. There’s no elevator, so be ready for the stairs, though there are only about 10-15 steps.

The room was really nice and clean, and the staff were helpful.

The location is the big plus, though traffic nearby can be a nightmare and makes getting a taxi or Grab frustrating. The staff are generally friendly, but communication can be a little awkward, so it feels less welcoming. My room also needed more attention to cleaning, especially the bathroom. As they say, you get what you pay for.
