We had a very poor stay at Silom Avenue Inn. After arriving at 11:00 AM, we were told check-in was at 2:00 PM, which we accepted. We came back at 1:50 PM and were still asked to wait another 10 minutes because the room wasn’t ready. It felt disorganized from the start. The room was in unacceptable condition: lots of cockroaches, strands of hair in the bathroom, old, damaged furniture, and visible mold between the bathroom tiles. The hygiene was far below what Booking.com advertises. Because of this, we had to leave at midnight and urgently find somewhere else to stay. The staff didn’t tell us they would keep the payment for one night. Keeping that money feels unfair, and I’m asking for a full refund. This hotel does not meet Booking.com standards, and I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Our first room had a connecting door that was very thin, so we could hear the neighbor playing YouTube at night and noise from the hallway. There was also construction across the street during the day. It was impossible to sleep, but they managed to move us to another room and the rest of the stay was nice. There were a few bugs in the room, though that wasn’t a big deal.

The location is amazing, which makes the maintenance problems a shame. The drainage is clogged and the basin won’t empty. They said they’d fix it tomorrow. The shower only gives water in the bathtub, and the WiFi is painfully slow. With better upkeep, this place could be very good.

The hotel is in my favourite part of Silom and the price is reasonable. I stayed three nights. The room looked quite old-fashioned, but everything worked well. Staff were friendly, the cleaners even offered me extra bottled water, and they let me leave my luggage for a few hours. There’s an elevator too. I’d recommend it.

The receptionist made a good first impression. She spoke English very well, so communication was easy. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable for a reasonable price. My friend from overseas loved the hotel and its excellent service.😍😍
