Sip N' Camp - Hostel

Chai, the owner, was the highlight for me. He was kind and flexible, shared a lot of helpful city tips, gave us delicious coffee for free each morning, and helped with my luggage. I enjoyed our chats. The price is good, the location is excellent, and there’s a free washer and dryer, hair dryers, and lots of bottled water. I stayed five nights in the twin room. The setup can be tough, though. My room was on the top floor and the bathrooms downstairs, two steep flights below. The downstairs sinks didn’t work well, and the sink in the room was a bit iffy. Wi-Fi was so slow it was unusable, even with the extension plugged in. The AC worked slowly, taking about five hours to cool the room. I went to sleep warm and woke in the middle of the night cold. The room was noisy and the beds were pretty hard. For a young budget traveler who wants to be in the middle of everything and meet people in Thailand, this hostel is great. If you need to use the bathroom often, have creaky joints, or struggle to haul luggage up narrow, steep stairs, I wouldn’t recommend it. The photo was taken with a wide-angle setting, so the proportions look a little distorted.

Chai was such a good host, sharing local tips, offering free laundry, and bringing us fresh coffee every morning. We had a great time and think this is the best place to stay in Bangkok. Great price and location too. Thanks, Chai!

Mr Chai was kind and helpful, with clear communication and good customer service. I felt safe traveling here on my own as a woman. The room was comfortable and clean, with water included and a coffee machine guests can use. The place has plenty of character and made me smile. It’s well placed for exploring nearby areas. There’s a food market within walking distance and some amazing coffee shops close by. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Mr chai is genuinely hospitable and treats guests like family. I’d recommend Sip N' camp, and his coffee is excellent too. And yes, these reviews are true, not fake. 😋🫡
