Sleep Owl Hostel

This was my second stay, and it’s ideal for a quick layover if you want to be near Don Mueang, which is within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. There are small white curtains in front of each bed, but they’re see-through and I wish they were darker.

The bunks are large and clean, with room beside the mattress for personal things. There’s hot water in the showers, the beds stay a comfortable temperature, and the English-speaking receptionist was friendly and attentive. It’s close to the airport, with a 7/11 nearby. I did run into mosquitoes in the bathroom and shower area, and the bunk curtains are see-through. There’s no elevator. On the fourth floor, the AC by my bunk made an annoying ticking sound when its swivel was on. The hostel wouldn’t move me to another bunk once someone had settled in, but after I figured out the sound came from the gears in the swiveling flap, the front desk attendant turned the swivel off and stopped the ticking.

Getting to the train station is an easy short walk, and the airport is very close. There’s a 7-Eleven nearby and plenty of street food, and the big lockers are handy for luggage. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to questions or requests. They even let me check in early. I had a comfortable, convenient stay and would highly recommend it.

Comfy bunk bed, clean, and budget-friendly, with free snacks. The shared bathroom was fine too. Just right if you need a bit of rest before or after a flight.
