Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor by IHG

The coworkers’ space was a highlight for me. It’s quiet, comfortable, and practical, with free hot coffee and cold water all day. I got most of my work done there, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable enough for daily use. Ruby was lovely and cheerful, helping me compare three room layouts listed under the same type and explaining the membership benefits clearly. Zoklek was another standout, very friendly and easy to talk to. I’ve been here for an extended stay while evacuating from the UAE, already more than 15 days, with at least another 10 planned. I’m booking week by week while I monitor the situation, so I’ve had time to see how things work day to day. The room was well-organized and very clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows and duvet had just the right feel for me. The light switches could be better laid out. Turning off the bedroom master switch also cuts the other lights, and the living room switch is near the bedroom, so you have to cross a dark room to reach it. Some switches work by pressing the top and others the bottom, which is confusing. Breakfast was good, though the shared space with the Coffee Club can get crowded. The onsen temperature was just right, but a few lockers didn’t work properly. I liked the pool, though it closes a bit early. Marche mall is right across the street and has almost anything you need, and BTS Thong Lor is less than a 10-minute walk away. The shuttle driver was fantastic and quick to help whenever he saw me, even when I was the only passenger. Overall, a pleasant and reliable stay, especially because of the staff and the work space.

Tubtim, the manager, was professional, welcoming, and always easy to approach. She checked that everything was running smoothly and made the stay even better. I spent several days here and found the room spacious, clean, and well equipped. The small kitchen and comfortable bed made it feel more like home than a typical hotel. The Thonglor location is great, with plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

The rooms were a good size, the staff were lovely and ready to help, and there’s a small mall across the road with lots of restaurants to try. But the facilities and breakfast need work. The pool area is tiny and a bit dated, and the gym is basic, with cardio machines, a few dumbbells, and one multi-lever machine. Breakfast felt bare-minimum and had no soul. The usual eggs, bread, yogurt, and juice were there, but the eggs were ice cold and the Asian dishes tasted dull. We skipped breakfast after trying it once. The same restaurant does a good breakfast, just not the hotel buffet. If hotel breakfast matters to you, this isn’t it.

We picked this Staybridge because it’s convenient to our friends’ condo, and we’d happily choose it again after such a good stay. The first visit was 3 nights, from 2/27 to 3/2, in a spacious, well-equipped high-floor room with a king bed. Early check-in helped us a lot, and Zoklek, Louis, and the other staff were friendly and extremely helpful. After being away for 3 nights, we came back for another 5 day stay and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful corner suite. The breakfast buffet had a nice range of well-prepared food, from a full English breakfast and Asian dishes to cereal, baked goods, yogurt, and fresh fruit.
