The Quarter Saladaeng by UHG

I got a junior suite from March 6 to March 10, and it was good value for the money. The hotel has been around for a while, but the equipment and facilities still work. I don’t know why people complain about wear and tear. They required a Baht 1000 cash deposit at check-in and refunded it at checkout. The room was clean and the mattress comfortable. The gym had everything you’d need to be a muscle dude. I didn’t swim, but the sun looked sufficient for tanning by the pool. There are lots of food stalls in the neighborhood for a late supper, and Lek massage on the second floor had a good deal, Baht 550 for a one-hour ‘clean’ Thai massage. The hotel is conveniently between sala daeng bts station and Lumphini MRT station, about a 10-minute walk to each. Thanks especially to Mr Kit and the door and shuttle service team. He’s young, bright, always smiling, and helpful with luggage and the tuk tuk shuttle. He should get promoted. I’ll come back 👍👍👍

We stayed a few nights and would come back. The rooms are big and have everything you need, the air conditioning works well, and reception and the other staff are really friendly. The location is excellent, close to everything. The pool is big and deep, okay but not the best, and the on-site cafe makes good coffee.

The hotel is right by Lumphini Park in a calm, quiet neighborhood. I’d try “The Commons” nearby for its good food and drinks selection and great live music at night. It was a fantastic stay overall, and I’d come back despite a few drawbacks. Our room was large, clean, and had a beautiful view, though it felt a bit old and sometimes smelled musty or like sewage. Turning on the A/C was enough to clear the smell. Breakfast was great, with different choices each day: hot Thai food and scrambled eggs, plus cold dishes, assorted cut fruit, and pastries. The facilities were great too. The full gym had plenty of machines and weights, and I was very impressed. There was a sauna in the gym, and the beautiful pool was 1.70m deep.

I booked in peak season and the prices were still reasonable. I got two kinds of suites, a junior and a deluxe, and both were spacious and clean. The hotel could probably use renovations, but the staff and service make up for it. Breakfast was quite reasonable, and the gym was great.
