The Urban Oasis Bangkok

The bed was the best part for me, easily the most comfortable one we’ve slept in during our time in Asia. It felt like there was a mattress topper, and the pillows were lovely too. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a modern bathroom, balcony, Netflix and Prime on the TV. Check-in was easy. There’s a laundrette right across from reception, and it had our things washed and dried in about 40 minutes. The hotel’s a little far from the centre, but shops and restaurants are nearby, as is a cinema. The 7/11 is about a five-minute walk across the main road. My only gripe was the lack of bedside tables. There’s a little space on the headboard light behind you for small things, but a table on either side would’ve been handy and made the room feel cosier. I’d stay again.

The bed was comfortable, the shower better than average, and the AC quiet. Staff were nice, though they didn’t speak much English. There’s no breakfast at the hotel or nearby, but the BTS station is very close. The lobby coffee machine makes a pretty good cup for 30 baht. The place is new and clean, but otherwise feels basic or mediocre. The room has just a bed and desk, with no nightstand or armchair even though there’s space. Internet kept dropping, and the polished stone hallways echo badly. The doors don’t insulate sound, so expect banging doors and other noise. I don’t get the hype.

It felt like finding a little treasure. The room is simple, but clean and comfortable, and a few things even had that comforting new-from-the-store smell. The staff didn’t speak much English, but did their best to make us comfortable. Ratchayothin BTS station is about a five-minute walk, maybe less, and there’s everything you need near the hotel. I’ll definitely come back.

My room was roomy and spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The shower had hot water, which can be hard to find. Staff at check-in were warm and accommodating, and let me arrive early without any hassle. I’d strongly recommend the place.
