W Bangkok

I was at the hotel for a friend’s wedding and was impressed by the service from the start. Staff helped with the luggage at the entrance, and check-in was quick and efficient. Breakfast had a huge range of options and cuisines, with a spacious dining area. The staff were so attentive, helpful, polite, and friendly. The twin-share room was a good size, clean, well equipped, and had a very comfortable, large bed, as you’d expect from a five-star hotel. One thing to check with staff beforehand: the bathroom seems to be transparent, which could feel awkward if sharing with friends, though it’s fine for couples. The gym was great and had good workout equipment. I didn’t get a chance to see the pool or pool party.

The rooms were stylish, spacious, and very comfortable, with lovely city views and good amenities. I especially liked the pool, fitness center, and the relaxing feel around the hotel. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of quality local and international dishes. W Bangkok combines luxury and modern design with an energetic atmosphere that feels like Bangkok. The location is convenient, a short walk from the BTS station, so getting around the city is easy. Service was outstanding throughout. Every staff member was professional, friendly, and ready to help with a smile. Check-in went smoothly, and the care throughout the stay made me feel very welcome.

We felt welcome and well looked after from the moment we arrived at W Bangkok. The staff don’t mind if you’re in a T-shirt and sandals, and the food choices were quite good. Our room was large and comfortable, and the pool, spa, and gym felt luxurious. We had a phenomenal time and would highly recommend it.

The breakfast was the main letdown this time. It used to be a highlight, but the buffet now feels more average than at other five-star hotels, with a noticeable drop in choice. The memorable sweet burnt coconuts are gone from the buffet and now cost extra as a lunch item. That was disappointing and felt like part of a wider reduction in what’s included. Service is still excellent. The breakfast team, led by a personable manager with impeccable English, was welcoming, attentive, and proactive. They dealt with even small problems quickly and professionally. We stayed five nights at W Bangkok for a comfortable return visit and used Marriott SNAs to get upgraded to a spacious, well-appointed suite on the 29th floor, just as you’d expect from the W brand. The Technogym-equipped gym and WET deck pool are still standout features, just as impressive as last time. The rooms are comfortable, the facilities are great, and the hotel is conveniently located near two Skytrain stations. I’d still recommend W Bangkok, though next time we’ll probably compare it with other five-star Marriott or IHG properties.
