B Stay Hotel

It was a pretty average stay, neither especially good nor bad. The pool being in the parking lot wasn’t ideal, and housekeeping could have been better. It’s a fair way from the center, so getting around means relying on taxis.

I stayed for five days, and they never restocked the tissues. I left the empty box open so it was clear we’d run out, but I ended up having to buy some myself. The woman at reception didn’t smile and checked my passport in a way that made me feel awkward, almost as if I were a criminal.

For the price, I guess you get what you pay for, but this felt more like a C choice than a B stay. There was a step right outside the room door that I kept nearly catching my toes on. The room itself was dirty, with ants crawling around, and the bathroom had mold everywhere. The AC was noisy, and reception wasn’t much help.

The room was spotless and the hotel felt cozy, with neat surroundings and a convenient location. The pool, though, is really just an oversized jacuzzi, too small for swimming. What brought my rating down was the garbage truck every two days. It was so loud that my friend in the next room and I couldn’t sleep, and the sound insulation is terrible. If you don’t mind waking up early, or can sleep through the noise after a night out, the place is manageable.
