The best part was how clean the place was: the bed was large and comfortable, the bathrooms stayed dry, and basic necessities were available. It’s a handy, affordable base for going back and forth to Chatuchak Market over a 2-3 day shopping trip without rushing. The mixed dorm felt roomier, while the female dorm was really cramped, with bags taking up the entryway and no space to pack or unpack. You can’t shower after checking out, and luggage storage is only available until 6pm.

I was traveling alone and spent one night at Yoo Yen pen sook Hostel. The rooms were clean and the employees were very friendly. It’s tucked away on a side street, so the hostel was quiet, but Chatuchak night Market is walkable and there are plenty of shops on the Main Road. The key card lets you into the building whenever you like, even if you go out at night. At 10€ a night, it’s a good hostel, and I’d recommend it.

Getting heavy bags up to the third floor was a struggle: there’s no lift and the stairs are very steep. After we checked out and left our luggage in the lobby, the owner kept calling us to come collect it. I’ve never had such a strange hostel experience and wouldn’t recommend booking here. The main entrance is hard to get into because a big car is always parked in front of it, and there’s hardly any room to enter. The lobby and reception have no working fan or AC and no air circulation, though the AC in the dorms is fine. There’s just one washroom on the mixed dorm floor.
