Cera Resort @ Cha-am

I stayed for a full month and really enjoyed the hotel, the food, the pool, and the staff. The pool and sunbathing were great. A very good stay.

The staff were really nice, and breakfast was pleasant, with a menu to choose from and food brought to the table. The pool was lovely, with a depth of 1.6m at the far end. My room was bigger than most, but there was only one pillow per person, and the mattress was very dated. The air conditioner outside on the balcony was so noisy I couldn’t sleep. There isn’t a beach at the seafront, more of a demolition site, which may explain why the hotel was quite empty.

I liked the quiet around the hotel and the nature nearby, though I was disappointed that swimming at the coast wasn’t really possible. There’s no sandy beach, and the current is strong. The slippery slope makes it hard to climb out, so the so-called beach felt dangerous. I’d been happy thinking we could swim there when we booked, but in reality you can just look at the sea and listen to the waves. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, a fridge, a ceramic table, and a bathtub. We didn’t have a sea view, and you have to pay more for one. The hotel’s location is good, although the road between it and the main road is narrow. The pool is small but relaxing, and there were only a few other guests.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom and toilet felt new, with a bathtub. The staff were nice, and the pool was great for an evening swim too.
