The Cozy

The location is handy for the gyms, Tiger and Unit 27 are an easy walk away, and there are restaurants and plenty else on Soi Ta-ied. The staff were also very accommodating when I needed a late check-in. The rooms themselves are low standard. There are no curtains, and the stained glass windows let in unpleasant light all night. You can’t open the windows either. On my first night I killed several insects above the bed within minutes of getting into the room. The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable, and it didn’t really fit two people despite the room being advertised as a double. There’s no in-room safe, and the door lock could be pried open easily, so I didn’t feel my passport or electronics were secure. The AC gets cold, and with little natural light the room stays cold if you leave it running. I had to check out early, but they wouldn’t refund the booking. I understand the room could have gone to someone else, though it would have been fair to have some arrangement that covered both sides. Keep that in mind. Would I come back? Maybe, maybe not, though probably not. If cheap accommodation is all you need, this place may be fine.

The front desk was really helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were neat and clean. A great deal for what it costs.
