Just a three-minute walk away, the public hot spring became a place where we spent many thoughtful hours with locals and other travelers. We also met generous, kind fellow guests. At Doo Dao Doi, the community feel was a big part of what made our Chiang Dao stay so special. Falling asleep and waking to the stream was grounding and relaxing, and the star-filled night sky was wonderful. We first stayed in the rustic, clean, cozy blue house. Rather than move elsewhere, we asked Oun (owner/host) if we could extend our stay and sleep in a tent. He kindly set everything up for us. Oun manages the whole place with sincerity and a real desire to connect with people. After eating out so much during our two-month trip, we were glad to have access to a communal kitchen and cook again. A lovely place for travelers looking for distinct local experiences.

I loved the calm countryside setting and the nature all around. A little stream runs beside the property, and its sound is so relaxing. Chiang Dao hot springs are close by, which was great. There are cats and dogs around, and cows and chickens in the field behind the house. The owner apologized that the accommodation wasn't in perfect condition after this year's unusually long rainy season, but it didn't bother me. It's a quiet, nature-friendly place. If simple rural life and peaceful surroundings appeal to you, I'd recommend staying here.

This place really has my heart. I spent two weeks here and loved it. The room was comfortable, and there was a shared kitchen as well as a breakfast option. It's right beside a flowing river and only three minutes from the hot springs. P’Oun, who runs the place, is such a kind soul and always tried his best to make me comfortable. Thank you so much 🧡

It's a simple, basic resort with a romantic feel. I liked the minimal approach, and the setting beside the river is beautiful. If you don't need a pool or air conditioning, this is a nice place to stay.

Right beside the river, this is a charming, cozy little hostel. The owner is wonderful. I'd highly recommend it!
