OYO 1081 Koko Home Chiang Dao

I picked their cheapest room, one of several setups they offer, and it was good value. There’s no AC, but November was so cold that I didn’t need it. The shared bathroom had hot water, and there’s an eating area. If you ask, you can use the kitchen to cook, though I had my own pot and utensils. They rent motorbikes and bicycles too, and have two chonky cats. On my departure day, the caretaker girl was heading that way and took me to the bus terminal on her motorbike 👍

The bike rental went smoothly, and this is a family run place. Getting a lift both to and from the bus station was a big plus. Just know the bike doesn’t come with a full tank, so you’ll probably need to fill up. As of Aug 2025, a full tank cost about 80-100 baht.

I left my headphones case on the bed and know exactly where I forgot it. I travelled a long way back for it, only to be met with a smile and “sorry, no have.” That wasn’t good enough.

It’s near the city center, but the rooms and the place itself feel very narrow and not spacious. There are lots of insets around the rooms.
