We chose this place for one night before taking the slow boat the next day. The owner picked us up free from the other hotel in Chiang Kong where the minibus was supposed to drop us, then took us back in time for our departure the following morning. The rooms had charming bamboo-style beds and fun shutters, but the bathroom could use some work: the flush seemed broken. It's a quiet spot with good views, but a little out of town and far from food and shops. I was glad we stayed, though I wouldn't have wanted to stay more than two or three nights.

A lovely little place, especially for families. The owner was very nice and the room was great. My pillow was the one problem, it was big and hard as a rock, and left my neck sore. I'm sure the owner would have swapped it if I'd realized before bedtime.

We ended up leaving for another hotel without staying the night. It was low season and the owner said we were the only guests, which may explain the condition of the place. There was a dead gecko in the shower with live maggots in it, so it hadn't just died. The room needed a serious clean, and the closed pool area looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The room was hot and stuffy. When we left, the owner's suggestion was to turn on the air conditioning for an extra 100 baht. There were also holes in the walls and under the door, and no mosquito net, so we would have been eaten alive overnight.

A nice host and a good stop for a short stay between the bus and the boat. It's a bit out of town, but after six hours on a bus we enjoyed the walk.

A lovely, friendly, clean place with a big room and a comfortable bed. There's a shop and some nice bars just a short walk away. Loved it, and I'll be back.
