The welcome was warm, and service was prompt and courteous. I tried the chicken satay for 89 THB and really liked it, so I’ll come back for a main meal. There’s a wide choice of local and imported beer, on tap or bottled. The Mahou at about 190 THB and Markie at 220 THB were both excellent and served properly cold. Staff are happy to offer a taste of any draft beer to help you decide. A great find.

I came for the pies and was glad they had a meat-free vegetable one. With mash and beans, it tasted like the home-cooked food my mom made when I was a kid. I got a few beers too, which were just right in the steamy weather. The place had a fun feel, with 80s pop playing and some funny older British guys swearing loudly. I had a lovely time, and everything felt like a home-cooked supper. The menu is huge, so there’s plenty to choose from. Definitely give it a try!

Trevor, the owner, is welcoming whether you arrive alone or with a big group. The restaurant is popular with locals, which says a lot about its food, atmosphere, and friendly feel. I come here in the heart of the old town for the Sunday roast, served on Sundays only, and those Yorkshire puddings are amazing. Portions of the western food are generous and good quality, and the Thai dishes are excellent too. There’s also a great range of beers from around the world, and it might have the best Guinness in Chiang Mai. Try it and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

A tasty, good-value cafe with mostly European guests. They serve all sorts of European dishes as well as Thai food. Try the Mango Stiky Rice!

The waitresses were friendly and proper, but the food was disappointing. My chicken yellow curry was overly salty, with little chicken and lots of potatoes, so the rice I ordered felt unnecessary. It also lacked balance and spice. The garlic mushrooms were far too salty as well. A man was very loud, greeting and talking to nearly everyone, which made the meal uncomfortable. It turned out he owns Annies Restaurant. I hope the Western dishes are better.
