Bunk Boutique Hostel Chiangmai

For us, the location was perfect and the price was great, but the stay itself was pretty average. There are only a few rooms and not much common space, and the beds really are rock hard. The staff knew only basic English, which made it harder to get information or ask for things. We had a better time at Varada, which I think has the same owners.

We wanted to return, but it was full. The rooms were nice and roomy, and each bunk had its own curtain, light, and power outlet. The girl working there helped my friend and me with a lot, from arranging excursions around and outside the city to food recommendations and renting a scooter. It's a nice, cheap place.

The people working there were the sweetest and friendliest bunch, and made the stay more memorable. I loved that it was clean and comfortable, with large lockable storage under the bed and powerful AC. The beds were pretty hard but still great. It's just outside Old Town, so we walked around more and stumbled across loads of interesting places, which I liked. I'd absolutely come back.

The lobby has lots of cute cats, and they’re tame, so no need to worry about them being aggressive. We booked a deluxe room for four for two nights. It smelled calming as soon as we walked in, and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was clean, and our little balcony had hangers. They changed the towels and sheets every day. The bathroom had shower cream, shampoo, toilet paper, and a hairdryer. There’s also a small computer room you can use free for up to 30 minutes, plus free WiFi that was fast for me. Bars, restaurants, cafés, and Thai massage places are right next door. You can’t bring beer to your room, and late at night they ask you to keep quiet in the corridor. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Chiang Mai.
