The pool area is small but really nice, and it was quiet most days. The hotel also has free water dispensers and puts water in the rooms. Breakfast was the weak point for us. You can pick how you want your eggs each morning, and there’s toast, yogurt, and a little fruit, but the quality felt a bit lacking. The location is great, just beyond the city walls across the bridge. It’s about a 10 minute walk into town, or a cheap Grab ride or short cycle. The staff were lovely, and the rooms had everything we needed: a kettle, fridge, iron and ironing board, proper hairdryer, slippers, dressing gowns, fans, and air conditioning. The fan was enough for us. It’s very quiet at night, aside from the occasional guest slamming a door, which could happen anywhere. There are around four dogs at the house next door. They don’t run after or chase people. They sometimes bark while wagging their tails, as if saying hello. I nearly skipped booking because of comments about them, but those didn’t fairly describe the situation. There are mosquitoes too, though that comes with the green surroundings and isn’t the hotel’s fault. Bikes, helmets, and locks are available, but there are only four bikes and they could use some work. It’s first come, first served, though we managed to ride them almost every day during our eight-night stay. I’d recommend the place and would stay again.

The hotel is stylish and beautifully put together, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range of Thai and continental food. We really enjoyed staying here and would gladly return.

We booked a studio suite with a kitchenette, and the room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The location was handy for cafes and tasty local restaurants. There are free snacks available through 11 pm, too. Breakfast tasted great, especially the Thai corner with boiled rice and pork, dried shrimp, and squid. There weren’t many choices, though. Check-in was quick and the staff explained everything clearly. They were attentive and kind when I’d made a mistake with the check-in date on Expedia, and helped change the reservation without an extra charge. I’d recommend this hotel.

The room and interior design made this my favorite hotel of my two-week trip in Thailand. You can tell the owner put care into every choice, from the larger furniture to the tiny porcelain details, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast also really appealed to me, with flavors that reminded me of Japanese and Taiwanese food. Mosquitoes did occasionally get into the room, and the free bicycles need some maintenance. Even so, the hotel exceeded what I expected, and I recommend it.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and spoke English well. Breakfast was good, with buffet items as well as dishes made to order. It’s a relaxed, informal place within walking distance of the city center. Our room had a comfortable mattress and a large shower. I’d happily recommend it.
