Hotel O Top North Guesthouse

The room wasn’t as advertised, and similar accommodation is available for a fraction of the price. There was mould in the bathroom, half the power outlets didn’t work, and the AC was broken. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We couldn’t see the room until 2 PM, so we had to pay extra for another hotel. That was absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t stay here even if it were free.

The bathroom and the space under the bed were filthy. I found a clump of hair in both places, and the shower was disgusting too. The place is old and falling apart, but being dirty was the real problem. Don’t be fooled by the online photos. There was also a lot of noise from the nearby bar street. I showed the photos I uploaded to the receptionist. He looked ashamed and told me to contact Agoda, and she gave me the number. Three months later, I’m still waiting for a refund for the night I didn’t stay. It doesn’t seem fair when I have evidence.

The room was filthy, with stains on the walls, dead insects and black mould. There were stains in the bed, the towels were dirty, the pool was covered in filth, and the bathroom light didn’t work. The curtains were broken and hanging off, and neither the WiFi nor the air conditioning worked, even though we paid extra for them. The TV was older than we are. This was the dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I’d never left a review before, but the amount of filth here is hard to measure.

We had a really good two weeks here. It’s right in the old city, so getting to restaurants and other places was easy. The staff were kind, the room was nice for the price, and the pool was good. There’s also a big area with tables where you can hang out. It can get noisy at night when other people make noise, though.
