Jomkitti Boutique Hotel

We had a lovely family stay. The staff were warm, always greeting us with a smile, and breakfast was included and hit the spot each time. Our room was spacious, clean, and lovely, with a west-facing balcony where we could watch the hills and sunset. We didn't use the pool, but it looked lovely and was hardly being used. The hotel is within the old city walls, with lots to see, do, and eat nearby. Thanks so much!

The only real downside was hearing quite a bit through the room walls, which aren't very soundproof. Otherwise, the executive suite was clean and spacious, and the staff were kind and quick to respond to questions. Breakfast had plenty for vegetarians and meat eaters, plus an amazing coffee machine. The pool is small but well maintained, and the location is everything, right within easy walking distance of the old city. For a three-star hotel, this is an excellent place. I'd rate it closer to four or five stars.

We were happy with the room, and the location was perfect. The staff were very friendly, but the bathroom smell got strong over the last few days. Breakfast was included and disappointing: the choices were warm rather than hot, and some food was cold on our last day, so we complained. The fruit was mediocre, and hot coffee wasn't available. If you like salad for breakfast, you might be fine with it. Laundry is cheap, but don't count on getting back the exact clothes you hand in. I lost a shirt and got someone else's instead, so I wouldn't send anything you really need returned. It was my first time in the old city, so I can't compare it with another stay there.

We found the staff friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout, and the hotel's location made it easy to explore Chiang Mai Old Town on foot, with many attractions nearby. The room was comfortable and nice, though a little dated in places; the bathroom was particularly good. The pool was okay, but the area feels a bit worn and is shaded for much of the day, so the water stays cool. A good boutique base if location, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere matter more to you than luxury facilities.
