We booked more than six months ahead, but when we arrived, our room had been given to someone else. We didn’t want to stay in a different room from the one we booked, and the host left the front desk clerk to handle it instead of helping us. The location was awful for us, far from everything, with nothing close enough to walk to, so you need a car or have to take a Grab everywhere. We found the host unaccommodating, and the whole thing felt extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. They say one thing and then do another. Update, April 23, 2024: I’m a real senior nomad with over 40 years of travel experience, and this is an honest account, not a competitor trying to damage their name. We dealt directly with the owner, not a temporary fill-in manager. This was definitely our worst experience ever. If they had spent as much time fixing the problem as they have responding eight months later, we might have had a different experience. So again, be warned, very dishonest and unprofessional.

When I arrived, management eventually told me my reserved room wasn’t ready, and said the bed they had available was too small, even though I’d booked a king size. They offered a room at a sister property, calling it nicer, but it really wasn’t. It was close to half the price, which seemed to surprise them when I pointed out the difference in room rates. After I asked to see my original room, they admitted it had been given away. Then they told me to cancel the reservation because of the rate difference and said I could have the room I’d booked the next day. I told them I didn’t want to do business with them. They still charged my credit card for the full 10-day stay at a hotel I never stayed in. These were the most dishonest, unethical business owners I’ve dealt with while traveling.

I really like the hotel’s style. You can tell the owner put a lot of time into it, it’s very pretty, and the staff are really friendly.
