The receptionist was the one bright spot. She genuinely tried to fix the problems and moved me to another room when I reported them. The second room smelled much better, but the bathroom was still dirty and the shower pressure was weak. I paid 350 THB for a shared dorm and knew not to expect luxury, but I did expect basic cleanliness and professional management. I had asked in advance for a lower bunk and said I would check out early, requesting breakfast earlier. Staff promised a sandwich and coffee by 5:30 AM, but I was assigned an upper bunk because, I was told, another guest had the lower one. I later learned that person was a hostel staff member sleeping in the dorm with paying guests. The first room was stuffy and strongly musty, with hair under the dressing table and clothes all over the rack. The shower room light didn't work, and the shared bathroom was full of staff belongings. One staff member, who appeared to be non-Thai, watched videos loudly on a phone in the common area. Breakfast was never ready: someone came down at 6:05 AM to say it hadn't been prepared, and although the cook had just arrived and offered to make a sandwich, I had to leave for my train. I had told them about my early checkout ahead of time. Moving elsewhere would have taken too much time, so I stayed after reporting everything. A hostel should still meet basic standards, even at this price. This felt more like a daily rental than a properly run hostel, and I can't recommend it. Please research carefully, there are other nearby options. Staff should not be sleeping in the dorm with paying guests. This was my first stay and will be my last. I won't be back.

I stayed five nights in the four-bed women's dorm, where each bed had a curtain and there was space to hang laundry. The hostel felt homey and was good value, with friendly staff. Kelvin went out of his way to make vegan-friendly breakfasts for me and even kindly helped with my dishes. It was clean and conveniently located within walking distance of cute cafes and a local market. I'd recommend staying here!

We spent two days at this hostel and had a wonderful time. It was easy to get to what I needed from the convenient location. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and Han Thar and Min Htet were friendly and helpful throughout.

We chose LM Hostel because of its good reviews, but the stay didn't meet expectations. There was no water on the first morning, just a small bucket, and we were told to use the lobby toilet. It was inconvenient, and water didn't come back until after noon. We'd told the staff in advance that we wanted to extend, but the next morning they said we couldn't and we had to switch rooms. The bed type also wasn't what we'd requested.

I stayed for two months and found the hostel clean, comfortable, budget-friendly, and well located. The service was excellent, and the polite, friendly staff were always ready to help. Ko Lin and William, especially, regularly cleaned the room and changed the sheets every ten days, so I never worried about the room or things like the pillowcases, kettle, cups, or toilet getting dirty or damaged. It stayed in good condition. I could get lunch at the hostel, which helped me save money without giving up comfort. There was a 7-Eleven nearby for daily needs, lots of coffee shops for a coffee lover like me, and a park close enough for relaxing evening walks. I'd recommend it.
