It's hard for me to give a one-star review, but this stay was extremely disappointing. The staff were polite and nice, and I appreciate that, but the condition of the room outweighed that. We booked a Family – Quad Room through Agoda, expecting the setup shown in the photos: two double beds and a partition. Instead, it was one open room with four twin beds and no divider. The thin, poor-quality mattresses were uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep. The room also felt unclean and hadn't been properly prepared, with no real decoration. We paid extra for a larger, nicer family room and got a very bad experience. The bathroom smelled strongly of sewage or drainage when we first went in, as if something hadn't been fixed. We had to leave the windows open all night to air it out, and the faucet didn't work well. The hotel is also tucked deep into a small alley, which makes access difficult for large vehicles. We wouldn't stay again.

Breakfast was excellent, especially the classic homemade drip coffee. The room was simple, clean, and good value for the money. Staff made us feel welcome, and when the shower heater had a problem, they fixed it straight away.

The receptionist was very accommodating and the price for the room felt fair. It's clean and quiet, a nice place to stay with your partner or family. Customer service was incredible. If you're visiting Chiang mai, don't think twice about staying at mandala house hotel.

I spent two nights at Mandala House and really enjoyed it. The hotel was nice and clean, and I loved the atmosphere. The staff are experienced and friendly, especially Saw, the Myanmar guy. He was always ready to help and took care of every guest request. I really appreciate that. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you again. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

The staff are very friendly and the location is great, close to the Old City and lots of restaurants. But the rooms are in poor shape. The bathroom smelled moldy, the beds weren't comfortable, and the room felt old and dirty. Staff tried to deal with the smell, but it came back before long. I wouldn't recommend staying more than 24 hours. It wasn't comfortable to spend time in.
