The grounds are what made the stay feel special: a large garden with winding paths, loads of plants, and water all around. The quiet reminded me of my grandmother’s garden, only much bigger. After life in a big city, that return to childhood and sense of peace felt priceless. I spent three nights here, and found the hotel pleasant and calm. The rooms are spacious, with huge panoramic windows opening onto balconies, and they seemed furnished without skimping. Staff were polite and always ready to help. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and you could tell the team put effort into it, even when I was almost the only guest one day. More guests came later. The hotel isn’t new and could use some renovation in places. If you want everything immaculate, very modern design, or cutting-edge technology, it probably isn’t for you. It has an old charm and plenty of greenery, with small sheds and gardening tools here and there. It is a bit far from the old town, though an incredibly beautiful botanical garden is within walking distance. Next time I’m in Chiang Mai, I’ll stay here again.

The location was nice, and this could have been a great stay, but a few things made it uncomfortable. The place looks old and needs renovation, including the rooms. The pool house was out of service, and we found two big cockroaches in the bathroom. With some renovations, this place could be great.

We had a great view of the hilltop temples at breakfast. The pool was cold, but the kids still had fun. The location worked well for getting to the night safari and nearby area.

The location near Rajapruek park is stunning, and the owner was friendly. It’s an old-style hotel with big rooms that feel a bit old.
