Paapu House

I've now stayed at Paapu three times, and I'll be back next time. Paapu herself is genuinely helpful and a lovely example of Thai hospitality. The place has a real community feel, so you're sure to meet people if you're traveling around. It's on the road, but the traffic didn't bother me. The rooms have lots of personal touches, and the shared bathrooms are kept spotlessly clean. If you've forgotten something, there are useful things you can borrow, like mosquito lotion. The food is awesome, with delicious options at great prices. The staff are well trained and bring iced water as soon as you sit down. I can't recommend it enough if you want somewhere homely.

The atmosphere was really lovely, and the owner was nice. We spent a few nights at Papuus place and were lucky enough to catch two live bands playing in the bar. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and she has made it feel like home. Can totally recommend!

The location made it easy to get around the old city, with almost everything in walking distance or a short tuktuk/grab ride away. We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, charming guesthouse. The owner was super kind and friendly, the staff were lovely, and the rooms and common areas were always clean. They serve excellent food too. It's an absolute gem, and I highly recommend it. I'll definitely stay here again.

The food was incredible, fresh and inventive, and breakfast was epic. I came every day and suggest you do too! It's a fabulous spot, beautifully decorated, cozy, and elegant. The live music on Thursday nights and daily happy hour from 5-7 are great fun.
