Tanwa Hotel

My room was quiet, very clean, and nicely organized. The fresh fabric softener scent made it feel cozy, almost like resting at home. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. It’s a bit away from the Old Town, but getting around was easy, about a 30 minute walk or 5 minutes by Grab bike. There’s a large night market within walking distance, and the Silver Temple is walkable or less than 10 minutes away by taxi. I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

The staff were nice, and the place was clean, fairly quiet, and good value. The bed was comfortable, the WIFI was good, and the aircon was solid. The main problem was the upstairs rooms: there’s almost no gap between the bed and the wall, so you have to crab walk past. If you’re not keen on walking around to look at things, I’d suggest a bike or Bolt.

The hotel is new, tastefully decorated, and spotless. It’s a little outside the centre, which makes it pleasantly quiet, though still a short walk to the old town, with a 7-Eleven nearby. My room was bright and clean but small. I slept well, although the mattress felt a bit firm to me. The only annoyance was having to take off shoes and walk barefoot in the common areas.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always making an effort to give me a good experience. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the Old City, with a local shop and laundrette just 2 minutes away and a great little coffee stall two doors down. Inside, the modern, stylish look made the place feel fresh and comfortable. Facilities were clean, well maintained, and convenient. Amazing value for what you get. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.
