Pakping Hostel

I stayed in both the mixed and female dorms, and found each clean and comfortable. The common area is welcoming, and the whole hostel feels cozy and quiet. Koki, the host, is considerate, kind, and easy to communicate with. Nearby are a 7-Eleven, massage shops, food options, and currency exchange. It’s a peaceful but convenient place to stay, and I really enjoyed my time here. I’d recommend it.

Koki and her family are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable hosts, with inspiring stories. Their advice and booking help made it easy to plan pretty much anything I wanted to do in Chiang Mai. The clean, minimalist space is centrally located on a peaceful side street in the old city. I especially liked having towels and locked storage, and the capsule dorm layout instead of regular bunk beds. I’d happily stay again.

I spent 17 nights here on my second visit, then my boyfriend joined me. We both felt at home in the 10-bed room. The rooms are spotless, the AC works great, and the beds are comfortable. The owner is a warm, respectful, great woman. +30 vibes!

The couple who run Pakping hostel made our stay. They were endlessly kind and helpful, even helping plan our whole week in Chiang Mai and sorting out my cinema tickets when they wouldn’t work. We loved sitting and chatting with them. The rooms are cleaned every day by Bee, who was so kind and accommodating. Her English may not be the best, but she always understood what we needed and greeted us with the biggest smile. The facilities had everything we needed, including spacious showers, free breakfast, coffee, and water. The open spaces and decor are beautiful. We can’t thank them enough. They deserve all the business they can get. Take care, guys, all our love from the Scot’s and a Swede.
