The free coffee, fruit, and hot water were a nice touch, and there was a fridge too. No money bucket, which I appreciated. The owner, host, worker, or receptionist was kind and happily rearranged my sleeping setup when I found the single-bed room too confining. It felt more like a cell, and as someone with claustrophobia I couldn't manage it. My first night was in the four-bed dorm I had booked, on the sixth floor. The climb with backpacks was hard, but doable. I liked having a common room on the first floor, a work area on the second, and a balcony on every floor. There's also a pleasant rooftop lounge with good WiFi. I was unsure about this cheap hostel in the old city's "backpacker ghetto," but got a warm welcome. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

There are a few things to bring: your own shampoo and towel, toilet paper since the toilets sometimes run out, and earplugs or earbuds because the walls do not block sound. We stayed in an eight-bed mixed dorm, and all six of us were really happy with the choice for our weekend in Chiang Mai. The facilities were very clean, with no bugs in sight, and the rooms had air conditioning. Staff were wonderful, and the place felt very safe and secure. WiFi was good. It's near an area with great street food, not far from the night markets, and within walking distance of the dance club Zoe in Yellow. It's also close to the airport. @25 Hostel exceeded all our expectations.

The dorm beds have a distinctive setup: each one sits in a lockable cubby, so you can shut yourself away and get plenty of privacy. A really nice, clean hostel in a good spot, and the host was very friendly.

A short walk around the hostel brings you to plenty of street food at night. The rooftop has a great view, the WiFi is strong, and the room air conditioning works well. Each bed has its own door, which feels quite private. I paid a low price and stayed four days. It took about 15 minutes to get here from the airport. When my friend's luggage wouldn't open, I asked a staff member for help and she was friendly and tried to sort it out.

The owner and staff were very friendly. The rooftop is one of the best things about the place. The location works well if you want to be close enough to walk around, while still having some space.
